Why me

A cold radiator is usually sludge. Bleeding it will not shift that. The system needs to be flushed and cleaned.

Half the time the circulating pump is gone. A new pump and a clean system, and the heating is working 100%.

A radiator is only as good as the system behind it. I check the pump, the valves and the water in the system, not just the one cold radiator on the wall.

You ring me and I do the job. I've been in the trade since I was 16 and have over 40 years in plumbing and heating. I'm fully insured, RGI registered and SEAI registered.

Why is my radiator cold at the bottom?

Sludge sitting in it. The system needs flushing.

How do I know if the pump has gone?

The boiler fires but the radiators stay cold, or the pump is not running. I'll check it.

Will bleeding the radiator fix it?
